Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is hiring a Cook to prepare, cook and plate meals for residents in a caring, service-oriented kitchen. You will follow Chartwell guidelines, maintain sanitary work areas, and ensure safe food handling practices.

You'll contribute to a warm dining experience, collaborate with team members, and support operations to deliver tasty, nourishing meals on schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in food services.
• Food Handler certification is required.
• Strong teamwork and communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and plate food following Chartwell menu guidelines.
• Comply with all public health regulations and safe food handling guidelines.
• Maintain food preparation areas and equipment in a sanitary condition.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time and at the correct temperature.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies.
