Schlegel Villages in Whitby, Ontario, is seeking a Laundry Team Member to join our Long Term Care services. You will perform laundry duties per village procedures and contribute to a clean, comfortable living environment for residents.

The role requires safe handling of supplies and equipment, ability to lift 15-25 lbs, and cooperation across departments to maintain smooth operations. Prior LTC or retirement home experience and knowledge of infection control are assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long-Term Care or Retirement Home setting (asset).
• Understanding of infection control and isolation protocols (asset).
• Able to lift 15-25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all laundry duties according to the Village procedures.
• Maintain safe handling of all supplies and equipment and lift 15-25 lbs comfortable.
• Co-operate with all Departments to assure safe, continual operation and efficiency.
• Review all policy and procedure manuals annually and/or when changes occur.
• Support resident-centred social culture and deliver high quality service to residents, visitors, and team members.
