Are you a compassionate leader with a passion for resident-focused care? Under the guidance of the Director of Care or Executive Director, the Resident Care Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to residents. This role combines leadership, clinical expertise, and strategic thinking to ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centered care in alignment with AgeCare’s mission, values, and standards of excellence.

What You Will Do
  • Lead resident satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support nursing staff in developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of nursing staff.
  • Oversee scheduling and ensure smooth operations in the absence of department heads.
  • Resolve care-related issues with residents, families, and advocates.
  • Foster a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to resident care.
  • Act as a clinical role model and mentor to nursing staff.
  • Deliver ongoing education and development for care teams.
  • Utilize MDS and Care Management systems effectively.
  • Ensure site-wide oversight in the absence of senior management.
  • Promote a culture of ethics, dignity, trust, and respect for all.
What You Bring
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or long-term care.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current unrestricted license (or eligible for BCCNM registration).
  • Skilled in managing unionized teams and navigating complex care environments.
  • Strong background in quality improvement, risk management, and person-centered care.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with BC health legislation, standards, and care regulations.
