A leading company in senior care is seeking a Care Manager to oversee nursing teams and ensure resident-centered care. The role involves recruiting and educating staff, leading quality initiatives, and fostering relationships with residents and families. Ideal candidates will possess a Baccalaureate of Nursing and demonstrate strong leadership and clinical skills.

JOB TITLE: Care Manager
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Site Leader and/or Director of Care
QUALIFICATIONS: Baccalaureate of Nursing with post basic course in Gerontology or three (3) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current practicing registration with the applicable provincial registering body.
The Care Manager is responsible for recruiting and leading the nursing care team in providing care and services for Residents. They liaise with Residents’ families, physicians, and Health Authority representatives, and coordinate and supervise the nursing team to ensure Resident-centered care based on individualized needs and care plans. The Care Manager demonstrates leadership and gerontology best practices in accordance with provincial regulations, health mandates, and Park Place policies, with a strong commitment to Resident safety and a culture of safety.
Requires lifting up to 50 lbs, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods, with frequent bending or crouching.
