Position Summary

The Resident Assistant in Nursing and Personal Care Services at Seniors’ Health Centre assists nursing staff in providing personal care to residents, performing procedures, and supporting daily activities. This role supports our academic and innovative care initiatives while ensuring a safe environment for all.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform duties in accordance with legislation, policies, and organizational standards.
• Assist nursing staff in providing personal care to residents.
• Communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Collaborate as part of the healthcare team.
• Work with elderly residents, demonstrating interest and ability.

Qualifications

• Completed Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a recognized college.
• Registered and in good standing with HSCPOA.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Skilled in Point of Care (POC) procedures preferred.
• Bilingual in French / English is an asset.
