Status: Temporary Part-Time
Hours: 24hours per week
Faculty/Department: Student Success & Engagement
Campus/Location:North Campus and Lakeshore Campus
Salary: PT Support Payband 5 (Start $17.60 - Max $27.08)


About the Student Success & Engagement Dept at Humber:
The Department of Student Success & Engagement (SSE) supports students’ active participation in experiential initiatives, promotes student health, wellness and inclusivity, and offers a variety of educational and career-related support services to help current Humber students, recent graduates and newcomers to Canada achieve their academic and personal goals. SSE also supports our local communities by providing opportunities to build capacity and share resources.

SSE is comprised of Athletics and Recreation, Student Events, Student Wellness and Equity, and Transition and Academic Support.


About the Residence Life Facilitator Role:
TheResidence Life Facilitator plays a vital role in coordinating and streamlining operational support for the Residence Life Team. This part-time position focuses on optimizing workflow, managing key tasks, and assisting with project execution to ensure seamless day-to-day operations. By supporting residence life programs and initiatives, the facilitator contributes to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and supportive living environment for students.

  • Assists in the seamless execution of Residence Life operations.
  • Helps manage workflow and communication processes within the Residence Life team.
  • Completes proper documentation of incident reports.
  • Assists in HR and training-related tasks for the student staff
  • Aids in project coordination by triaging and aligning projects with departmental priorities.
  • Adapts to evolving team needs by taking on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education
2-year Post-Secondary Diploma in a related field (e.g., Administration, Project Management, Education).

Experience/Skills
Minimum 1-year previous experience working in a Post-Secondary Residence setting.

  • Strong organizational and logistical planning skills to support training and recognition events, including scheduling, communications, and uniform ordering.
  • Experience with documentation practices, including incident reports, meeting minutes, and project tracking.
  • Skilled in coordinating projects by developing timelines, setting milestones, and aligning tasks with departmental priorities.
  • Familiarity with HR processes such as onboarding, or training and development.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across teams to ensure program and project success.
  • Attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and process alignment to support continuous improvement and operational consistency.
  • Proven ability to take on new responsibilities and support evolving team needs as assigned.
