The Opportunity

Vermilion Energy has an exciting opportunity within the Business Development groupseeking a Reserves Analyst Based in the Calgary office, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the reserves and business development team with the annual reserves process with a primary focus on data management in Mosaic Reserves Management Software. The successful candidate will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.

What you will do

Coordinating data transfer and manage schedule with both internal stakeholders and external reserves evaluators.

Become a Mosaic specialist and leader within the company :

Manage internal analysis and reporting of reserves data.

Summarize and communicate reconciliations of reserve evaluation changes to key stakeholders.

Maintain and quality control key evaluation inputs.

Support broader organization of Mosaic end users.

Manage the maintenance and creation of databases for BD and reserves with assistance from DBA as required.

Work with reserves team across BU’s to continue to develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and visualization tools.

Assist Finance in the creation of year end disclosure documents including the Annual Information Forms for the corporation.

Assist Treasury / Finance in providing ad hoc corporate reserves reporting and sensitivity runs.

Document and actively promote reserves process to all BU’s.

Comfortable with presenting group training and formal presentations.

Assist IT in annual Mosaic upgrade testing and scheduling.

Depending on qualifications and experience, support and involvement with Business Development projects may be included in the role as well.

What you will bring

Minimum 7 years of technical experience in the oil and gas industry with at least 5 years of involvement in the reserves evaluation and preparation process.

Must have extensive experience with Mosaic Reserves Management Software.

Fully familiar with COGEH guidelines and NI51-101 reporting regulations.

Preference given to candidates with data analytics experience most specifically experience with Power BI, Power Query, and enterprise databases such as Oracle or SQL.

Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with ValNav will be considered an asset.

Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Self- starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals.
