Role:

The Reservation Agent performs tasks including making reservations, answering and routing calls, checking out guests, delivering messages, handling complaints, and disseminating information. As often the first point of contact for guests, they play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression. They must use reservation scripts naturally, without sounding scripted.

Responsibilities:
  1. Enhance guest experience through exceptional service.
  2. Answer calls promptly and according to standards.
  3. Handle inquiries about property amenities, directions, and hours.
  4. Relay guest requests and messages to appropriate staff.
  5. Enter and confirm reservations, quote rates, and explain amenities.
  6. Utilize sales techniques to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  7. Assist with guest requests, resolve complaints, and ensure billing accuracy.
  8. Manage correspondence via email and fax.
  9. Coordinate with other departments for guest issues.
  10. Perform checkout procedures and review reservations for accuracy.
  11. Offer additional services like dinner reservations or concert tickets as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Professional and positive appearance.
  • High energy, proficiency in typing, and good communication skills.
  • Ability to handle instructions and deal tactfully with guests.
  • Maintain composure under stress and work flexible hours.
  • Basic reading and math skills.
Training:

Mandatory compliance training within 30 days of hire, including courses on safety, cybersecurity, responsible gaming, and harassment prevention.

Working Conditions:

Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting or pushing. Environmental conditions vary, and physical effort is classified as light work.
