About the Opportunity
The Research Student Aide will be responsible to complete the specific tasks assigned by thePrincipal Investigator and/or Research Manager within the timelines of their employment.The Research Student Aide contributes to a particular research study or division by assisting with study administration by providing general administrative support, shipping of items, generating reports from databases, and data entry.The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team committed to improving care for older adults living with frailty to work on a project . Under the supervision of a Geriatrician and Pharmacist, the candidate will help develop a learning module to educate health professionals about appropriate use of antipsychotic medications when caring for frail older adults.

Responsibilities:

-Liaise with library services staff to develop education material for healthcare providers.
-Opportunity for acknowledgement in dissemination products (e.g. conference abstracts and/or publications)

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

-Completion of grade XII required
-Current post-secondary student in an undergraduate or community college program required
-A student in the health professions or related field is preferred
-Experience with interpretation and critical appraisal of medical literature
-Understanding of and experience with knowledge translation an asset
-Familiarity with learning system platforms and applications (e.g. LMS) an asset
-Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology an asset
-Research related experience an asset
-Experience using different data bases including the ability to query data and generate reports
-Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
-Email (Outlook), Internet, Fax machine
-Accuracy in data entry
-Ability to work unsupervised
-Well-developed organizational, time management, and daily planning skills
-Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
