Job summary

The University of Ottawa Heart Institute is seeking a Research Coordinator to support ARCHIMEDES initiatives. You will work closely with the Executive Director, investigators, patient partners, and legal counsel to coordinate research projects and govern data‑access activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating engagement activities, supporting ethics submissions, and contributing to knowledge translation and dissemination across multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's in health research area or related field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a research setting.
• Experience coordinating complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience supporting research ethics applications and governance processes.
• Experience developing reports and communication materials.
• Experience facilitating meetings or engagement activities.
• Knowledge of patient‑oriented research principles and governance.
• Strong project management, organizational, and coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient and public engagement activities (focus groups, surveys, workshops, town halls).
• Collaborate with investigators to develop research protocols and study materials.
• Support ethics submissions and ongoing compliance with ethics requirements.
• Support data collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of findings.
• Contribute to manuscripts, presentations, and knowledge products.
• Develop relationships with patient partners, researchers, clinicians, and stakeholders.
• Support DACO operations and data access request processes.
• Prepare briefing materials for committee deliberations and decisions.
• Track milestones, risks, and action items across projects.
• Prepare project documentation and progress updates.
• Develop presentations, briefing materials, and stakeholder communications.
• Translate research findings into accessible materials for diverse audiences.
• Support dissemination through publications, webinars, and conferences.
