University of Calgary is seeking a Research Project Coordinator for the Faculty of Social Work in Calgary. The role supports the Principal Investigator across multiple projects, coordinating pre- and post-award activities, literature reviews, and stakeholder engagement, with mentorship responsibilities and process improvements.
The position is fixed-term, recurring, part-time (up to 35 hours/week) for about 12 months, with potential extension based on grant funding.
The Faculty of Social Work invites applications for a Research Project Coordinator. This Fixed Term Recurring Part-timeposition is for approximately 12 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
This recurring part-time position located in Calgary and situated in the Faculty of Social Work (FSW), reports to the Principal Investigator, works closely with the project staff and provides guidance to junior team members. This position will support the Principal Investigator's multiple projects to provide coordination, identify solutions and provide advice and recommendations regarding processes, policies, and practices. The role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in own discipline, continues to acquire higher-level knowledge and skills, has knowledge of the university and institutional processes and policies with limited guidance and direction. The role requires explaining complex information to others and building relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to the university.
The Research Project Coordinator will work Monday to Friday, up to 35 hours week, depending on peak periods. There may be occasions the Research Project Coordinator will be required to work outside of normal business hours for events.
