Who you are

The Office of the Chief Science Officer is seeking a candidate to join its Research team. This role involves managing research projects, grants, and contribution agreements, as well as evaluating the impact of completed research. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has an interest in innovation.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Providing advice and guidance to CNSC divisional clients on submission processes for project proposals;
  2. Managing the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure;
  3. Contributing to the development of Research and Support Program processes, procedures, requirements, and systems;
  4. Assisting in preparing briefing notes and meeting materials;
  5. Monitoring and ensuring that CNSC’s internal and external research sites are current and contain up-to-date information.

Note: This position can be performed from any CNSC location. We welcome applicants from outside the National Capital Area.

Essential Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and knowledge.

Language Requirements: English essential

Experience in:

  • Managing projects and reviewing/analyzing project-related documentation such as proposals, statements of work, RFPs, and contracts;
  • Providing advice and guidance to assist clients and respond to requests;
  • Using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Knowledge of:

  • CNSC organization and mandate;
  • Project management principles.
