About the Role

As a Research & Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing commercial real estate market research, investment financial underwriting, and assisting brokers with transaction due diligence for CBRE National Investment Team Vancouver.

This job is part of the Brokerage job function working with the National Investment Team – Vancouver, the top investment team by market share in the province. You will work alongside a group of analysts, underwriting some of the most high-profile investment properties across all asset types: office, industrial, retail, multi-family, development land, and development joint ventures. What You’ll Do

1. Conduct original market research to support assumptions applied in financial modeling and assist brokers with market presentations.
2. Complete financial underwriting for investment property sale opportunities in Excel and Argus. Modeling requirements include pro forma cashflow projection, residual land evaluation, and development joint ventures.
3. Assist brokers with preparation of valuation and marketing strategy proposals for all commercial real estate asset types across the region.
4. Gather and coordinate materials necessary for transactions such as listing agreements, commission agreements, leases, and sales agreements.
5. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
6. Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
7. Liaise with financial analysts at client companies to obtain property information and market data to complete underwriting and conduct due diligence for transactions.
