Job description

We are thrilled to be working with our leading medical device client on a 12-month contract for a R&D Lab Technician.

The successful candidate will accurately collate tests results and complete necessary documentation. They will ensure the lab and all equipment is well maintained and organised. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all testing/lab activities are carried out in line with GLP and GDP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completes testing according to written procedures as required, including feasibility, V&V and submission testing.
  • Ensures all Datasheets/Documentation are completed and reviewed in a timely manner with an emphasis on Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Takes ownership of the lab area and actively requests customers use the lab as intended, following Good Lab Practices requirements (GLP).

Qualifications and Experience

  • HETAC Level 6 qualification or higher.
  • Experience with medical device test methods in the areas of tensile testing, corrosion testing and reliability/durability testing is preferred.
  • Excellent technical capabilities, communication skills, teamwork abilities and initiative.
  • Proven ability to work well both as part of a team but also able to work on own with minimum supervision.
  • Prior experience required working as a technician in a test lab environment.
