TITLE: Research Analyst (POND)

STATUS: Temporary, Full-Time (1.00 FTE)

START DATE: May 19, 2025

END DATE: March 31, 2026

Join us in building a world of possibility for children with neurodevelopmental differences and disabilities!

We are seeking an engineer/analyst to support the data management needs of the Province of Ontario Neurodevelopmental Disorders (POND) Network. POND is a network of researchers, clinicians, families, and advocates across Ontario dedicated to improving outcomes for neurodivergent children and their families. Funded by the Ontario Brain Institute, POND holds multimodal, multi-site data from over 4,000 children in Ontario. This includes genetics, neuroimaging, and phenotypic data.

The engineer/analyst will support the POND data management by contributing to quality control procedures, reporting to the Executive team and the funder, and management of the POND database.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the POND database, including building of new forms and creating data cuts
  • Support quality control (QC) efforts by producing reports, and communicating with the program manager, research staff, and POND leadership to ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability
  • Support data entry and training of staff on data processes
  • Support regular reporting of data quality indicators to POND leadership and the funder
  • Create pipelines for data management, including creation of data cuts and harmonization of different measures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with REDCap is an asset
  • Demonstrated knowldge of programming languages including Python and R
  • Experience with cloud environments is an asset (e.g., Azure, GCP)
  • Experience working with health data is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with researchers and knowledge users
