Salary Range
$71,846 – $115,129 annually. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The Opportunity
This position is responsible for building research capacity and assisting Health Sciences faculty to engage in research. The individual in this role will provide leadership and support faculty in the development and implementation of their research in addition to promoting the development of faculty and student teams and facilitating the implementation of their research. The Health Sciences Research Coordinator role aims to build research capacity and activity among Health Science faculty and, by association, Health Science students. The role supports all Health Sciences programs with research and scholarship activities, leading to increased research capacity.

What It Takes
SPECIFIC RESPONSABILITIES :
- Collaborates with Health Sciences Faculty to assess, plan, and develop activities to promote faculty research.
- Develops and maintains database of current health science research projects by department.
- Identifies internal and external collaborative research opportunities and facilitates the pairing/matching of interested faculty.
- Identifies current research resources and develops/maintains a repository.
- Collaborates with departments to organize professional development workshops related to new and/or current research resources.
- Assists and mentors faculty with identifying and utilizing resources related to their research/scholarship, publication and conference submissions.
- Recommends resources for acquisition related to research and advises on placement of resources for maximum impact.
- Explores, recommends, collaboratively develops and participates in advisory pathways which best match Health Sciences faculty needs related to the development of research capacities
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in a Health Sciences discipline or related field is required. Ph.D. in a Health Sciences discipline or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years research experience within a Health Sciences discipline or related field as a principal or co-investigator
- Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience in a post-secondary institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge in quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods research.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals and teams.
- One or more publications in peer reviewed journals.
- Conference/Teaching presentation experience desirable.
Additional Information
The Faculty of Health Sciences is seeking a Research Coordinator. This position takes effect September 1, 2025 for an initial one year term with the possibility of an extension(s) up to a maximum of three years. This role has four (4) sectionsof time release available for the 2025-2026 academic year.
