Overview

Lawson Parkwood Institute Main - London, ON

Temporary Full Time position as Research Coordinator 1 reporting to Dr. Michael Borrie. The role supports the Cognitive Clinical Research Group with day-to-day project coordination and recruitment activities across multiple sites nationally.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of a research project to ensure successful completion of study protocols from set-up to closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with study goals, objectives, standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and support participant recruitment across multiple sites nationally.
  • Perform routine tasks, tests, procedures and assessments in accordance with the study protocol and regulated health professional practices.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a health-related field
  • Three years of experience as a research coordinator
  • Training in ICH/GCP guidelines
  • Experience with participant recruitment, implementation, coordination, and monitoring
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills; ability to handle confidential matters
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to convey general and scientific information at all levels
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, exercise good judgment, initiative, tact, and maintain a professional attitude
  • Adaptable, flexible, and resourceful with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with LRI policies and procedures is an asset
  • Familiarity with national, international and provincial research funding agencies/organizations that fund research is a strong asset
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work in teams (faculty, staff, students, residents)
  • Experience working with older adults with cognitive impairment and their study partner(s)
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19, and influenza
  • Provide documentation of Tuberculosis skin testing
