Job Summary:

This Research Associate role will support the development of RMA’s new core billing system using the ZIM platform, which will integrate with Sage CRM and Sage Intacct. You will help build a modernized billing system that enhances business processes and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bridge data integration, backend development, and application logic to meet business needs.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document business requirements and support long-term system design, including UX/XI.
  • Design and implement robust data models and system architecture using ZIM.
  • Design and develop operational functionalities to support business requirements, including user interfaces for the new billing system.
  • Implement and support modern identity and access management frameworks.
  • Perform data validation and cleansing to maintain high data quality across systems.
  • Integrate ZIM applications with third-party systems, including Sage CRM and Sage Intacct.
  • Design and develop analytical platforms to oversee business operations.
  • Enhance business logic using ZIM to support organizational needs.
  • Conduct testing: unit, integration, performance, security.
  • Create system documentation.
  • Develop training materials and train staff on the new system.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Visio, Entity Relationship modelling.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, application documentation, component testing (advantage).
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks timely.
  • Reliability and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Priority given to internal applicants who have taught any course for the university in three different sessions within the past 36 months, provided they meet the position requirements.
