The expected pay for this position is $68,932 at 1.0 FTE or $34,466 at 0.5 FTE per annum.
The UBC Department of Psychiatry is inviting eligible candidates to apply for a part-time Research Associate Position in the Division of Neuroscience and Translational Psychiatry.
The Research Associate will play an important role in the management of the MATRIX-N Research Excellence Cluster in accordance with the specific aims approved in the grant renewal process. Key duties include:
The Research Associate will work with Dr. Anthony Phillips, Dr. Michael Krausz, and cluster collaborators in preparing funding applications for major national and international grants competitions and publishing impactful review papers on major topics related to translation science (e.g., new drug therapeutics for substance use and concurrent disorders, or the role of unaddressed pain and hyperalgesia in opioid withdrawal and opioid use disorder).
The role will also support the close collaboration between MATRIX-N and the new Canadian Academy for Addiction Psychiatry (CAAP), in an effort to establish a national clinical trial network in substance use and concurrent disorders. Responsibilities include:
This is a one-year appointment subject to annual renewal. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will operate out of the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health.
