For the Youth Risk Behavior Survey Project:

  • Assist with formatting and preparing survey data for digital scanning using Remark Software.
  • Support scanning of completed surveys.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during scanning activities.
  • Support data review and management activities, ensuring high-quality data files are generated for analysis.
  • Participate in data analysis activities.
  • Participate in report writing and dissemination activities.
For the CARIB CARES Project:

  • Facilitate the organization of listening sessions and community forums, including assisting with site preparation and participant engagement.
  • Aid in the collection of qualitative data, including focus groups and stakeholder interviews.
  • Contribute to the development of educational and programmatic materials, such as flyers, brochures, and reports.
  • Support communication with stakeholders and community partners to ensure consistent engagement and transparency.
  • Provide general assistance in the execution of research activities, including participant recruitment and logistics coordination.

General Duties:

  • Participate in project planning meetings and weekly check-ins with the research team.
  • Assist in report writing and preparation of summaries of findings for project stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all research ethics protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Current undergraduate student in the School of Education, School of Nursing, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, or College of Science and Mathematics at UVI .
  • Juniors and seniors are preferred; however, sophomores with a strong interest in research are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Dependable, reliable, and capable of working independently.
  • Familiarity with research processes or data handling is a plus.
  • CITI Certification in Social and Behavioral Research (or willingness to complete it upon hire).
