This is a summer/fall Research Assistantship to be completed by September 30, 2025.
This community action-based project is being led by the Ending Sexual Violence Association of Canada (ESVA Canada). It is an exciting opportunity for a PhD student to engage in research that will contribute to shaping national policies related to workers in the GBV sector. The position includes three key tasks.

The research assistant will have the opportunity to network and work closely with leading experts in GBV, learning firsthand the importance and impact of community-based research that centres action and social transformation.
This is the first project of its kind in Canada. The student will gain invaluable experience working in collaboration with community groups and learning various research methods throughout the project.

Language Requirements
The Ability to read, write and speak in English at an advanced level.
Statement of Qualification
Applicants should have experience with content analysis, organizing databases, and coding interview data. Experience with NVivo is not necessary, but an asset. Additionally, the ability to synthesize material, identify themes and organize data are important skills to bring to the position.
The student should be comfortable using Excel or Google Spreadsheets.
Expertise in gender-based violence, feminism, and intersectionality.
Special Requirements
