Job summary

Okanagan College is seeking a Research Assistant to support an exploratory study on student feedback during an LMS transition. The role involves literature synthesis, data collection and organization, data analysis, and knowledge dissemination.

Flexible hybrid work with bi-weekly in-person check-ins at the Kelowna campus, for a 100-hour project from October 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. The successful candidate must be a current OC student, possess strong communication skills, and pay close

Qualifications

Must be a current student at Okanagan College (this is a funding requirement).
Strong communication skills and high attention to detail are essential.
Ability to work independently is required.
Previous research experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Literature syntheses: assist in gathering, organizing, and summarizing academic literature on educational technology adoption, faculty workload, and LMS design.
Data collection & organization: help administer and organize research artifacts, assist with transcribing interview audio.
Data analysis: assist in thematic coding and compiling descriptive statistics from institutional artifacts.
Knowledge dissemination: contribute to drafting research summaries, preparing summary tables, and formatting manuscripts and presentations.
