Research Project or Team Description

The Substance Use Service Peer Program Evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of the peer support program at WCH, supported by the WCH Foundation. The project involves multiple components: metrics from EPIC, semi-structured interviews with clients, surveys of clinical team members on peer support integration, and surveys of learners on attitudes towards drug use and peer support. The research team includes Dr. Wyman, Dr. Leece, Krasman Centre guidance, and peers.

Summary of Duties:

  • Understanding of research design and ethics
  • Recruitment and conducting telephone interviews, obtaining informed consent
  • Data entry, quality control, and management of study data across sites
  • Communicating with the Research Coordinator and Principal Investigator for updates
  • Preparing for research meetings, including agendas and minutes
  • Managing study deadlines and priorities
  • Assisting with proposal, report, presentation, and publication preparations
  • Supporting qualitative and quantitative data analysis and interpretation

You will serve as a role model, promoting safe, best practices to ensure high-quality, safe care delivery.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: experience in health research
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with sound judgment
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Access, Word) is an asset
  • Good performance and attendance record
