Job description

Join to apply for the Research Assistant 1, Lawson role at St. Joseph's Health Care London.

This temporary full-time position is based at St. Joseph's Hospital in London, ON, with an estimated duration until May 25, 2026, and potential for renewal, subject to work availability.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Manuel Montero-Odasso, Director of the Gait & Brain Laboratory, within a multidisciplinary team at Parkwood Institute. The role involves participating in interventional research studies focused on mobility and cognition in older adults, including remote assessments and coaching on lifestyle modifications.

Responsibilities include conducting participant assessments, recruiting, ensuring compliance with IRB/REB regulations, and managing day-to-day research operations. The position requires working 37.5 hours per week, five days a week.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
  • Experience in clinical trials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with LHRI policies and procedures
  • Certified Personal Trainer or Clinical Exercise Physiologist

Immunization Requirements
  • Vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19, and influenza
  • Documentation of Tuberculosis skin testing
