Job summary

CAMH’s Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention seeks a full-time Research Analyst to support a productive, interdisciplinary team in Toronto. You will assist recruitment, screening and enrollment of participants in interventional psychiatry studies, administer assessments, collect data, and maintain regulatory documentation.

You will also contribute to education and dissemination of study findings to patients and professionals, and help with regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting and enrolling participants into clinical research.
• Experience conducting screening, baseline and follow-up assessments in clinical trials.
• Experience administering research questionnaires.
• Data entry and data management experience; familiarity with online data systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual French/English is an asset.

Job Description

The Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention is seeking a full-time Research Analyst. The incumbent will report to the Manager and join a productive team in one of the world’s leading centres in treatment, research and training related to therapeutic brain interventions.

Reporting to the Research Manager, and working closely with the Principle Investigator (PI), you will support across several studies, including clinical trials utilizing interventional psychiatry for the treatment for mood disorders. The successful candidate will assist in the recruitment, screening, and enrollment of study participants, as well as the administration of clinical and cognitive assessments/questionnaires, data collection and management, and maintaining research documentation according to the appropriate institutional and regulatory guidelines. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to education and dissemination of information about studies to patients, families and mental health professionals, escorting participants to study-related appointments, transporting samples, maintaining subject records, and assisting with REB and other regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will have excellent capacity for self-directed learning/working, and require minimal supervision. You will support and contribute to a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.

Qualifications

• Recruitment and enrolling participants into clinical research.
• Conducting screening, baseline and follow-up assessments in clinical trials.
• Administering research questionnaires.
• Data entry, previous experience with online data management systems is preferred. Data analysis and interpretation and/or using statistical software (SPSS/ SAS, etc.) may be required.
• Strong PC software skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), online academic search engines (e.g., PsycINFO, PubMed, Medline).
• Detail-oriented and able to exercise initiative and good judgment.
• Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality, accurate work while meeting deadlines and requirements.
• Superior interpersonal, communication (oral/written) and organizational skills.
• Experience in summarizing and presenting data for presentations is an asset.
• Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset.

Salary Range

$27.95 – $37.28 per hour
