The General Adult Psychiatry and Health Systems Division at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is focused on improving the quality of care and access to appropriate care within the mental health and addictions system.

The General Adult Psychiatry and Health Systems Division is looking for a full-time 12 month contract Research Analyst. The successful candidate will support a project looking at high-support housing in Canada. Reporting to the Research Manager and supervised by the Principal Investigator (PI) you will assist in qualitative and survey data collection and analysis. The Research Analyst may also support the PI in the preparation of meetings and presentations maintaining and creating databases literature reviews and in supporting manuscript preparation for publication as well as abstract preparation and submission. Other administrative duties may be required.

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will possess an Honours Baccalaureate Degree in a health-related or social science discipline combined with one (1) year of relevant experience. Experience in working with individuals with addictions / or mental health challenges is considered an asset. In addition :

• Previous experience with qualitative interviewing
• Previous experience conducting literature reviews
• Data entry with previous experience with online data management systems preferred. Data analysis and interpretation using NVivo and / or using statistical software (SPSS / SAS etc) may be required
• Working on multi-site research projects planning and executing research studies
• Strong PC software skills including Microsoft Office (Excel Word and PowerPoint) online academic search engines (e.g. PsycINFO PubMed Medline)
• Detail-oriented and able to exercise initiative and good judgment
• Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality accurate work while meeting deadlines and requirements.
• Superior interpersonal communication (oral / written) and organizational skills
• Experience in summarizing and presenting data for presentations is an asset.
• Bilingualism (French / English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
