Deliverables
The successful candidate must deliver the following in order to successfully complete the engagement:
Project Tasks And Deliverables
- Design and Planning: Aid in outlining a roadmap for implementation of the Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution. This involves planning the transition from manual to automated processes, designing workflows, and defining roles and access privileges in line with organizational and business unit policies.
- Coordination and Leadership: Account for timely project delivery, coordinating with multiple resources, to ensure successful task completion.
- Implementation and Integration: Play a hands-on role in the implementation of the PAM solution. This includes configuring the system, integrating it with other IT systems, and ensuring that the automation aspects of the PAM solution work as intended.
- Training and Support: Provide knowledge transfer, training and support to staff, ensuring that the new system and processes are understood, critical to the successful adoption of the PAM solution.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Effective communication with stakeholders, including IT staff, management, and end-users, is key. Articulate the benefits of the PAM solution and address any concerns that arise during and after implementation.
- Reporting and Analytics: Set up reporting and analytics capabilities within the PAM solution and data sources to monitor its effectiveness, user behavior, and potential security risks.
- Operational Business Models: Work closely with the SNB Technology Services and IAM Program Team to produce a series of business models (i.e., domains and top-level functions) depicting current state ("as is") and future state ("to be") of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) business processes related to privileged Identity and Access Management. These visual representations will clearly depict the relationships between inter-connected business capabilities and system components.
Specifically, these models include (but are not limited) to the following:
- Process and data flow models for identity lifecycle, privileged access management, application onboarding/offboarding, support planning, infrastructure resource planning, service delivery planning, and service and solution implementation.
- High-level system interactions related to ITSM to support operational procedures and training.
Business Policies, Standards and Procedures: Work closely with the SNB Technology Services and PAM project stakeholders to produce a set of standards, policies and operating procedures for the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) of PAM solution.
- Specifically, these include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Procedures for user access and security management;
- Procedures for incident reporting and escalation;
- Procedures for managing software licensing and compliance;
- Procedures for customer support, system changes, system/feature implementations, and operational support of the PAM solution;
- Procedures for reporting on and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs).
The Lead Security Specialist PAM will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and complete Privacy and Security training, as required by the PAM Program team, prior to commencing the assignment.
Requirement Detail/Qualifications
Service New Brunswick (SNB) requires a Security Specialist with expertise in Privileged Access Management to help establish a PAM Program Operational model, program governance, and provide overall PAM-related guidance and support as GNB delivers PAM functions across government.
