The salary range for this position is CAD $29.30 - $38.45 / hour.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Talent Acquisition & Onboarding (TAO) team. Come join us and make an impact on the future of our health care workforce as a Relief Full-Time Representative. This opportunity will be covering a maternity leave and is based out of our Central City Offices located in Surrey, B.C..

Apply your knowledge of human resource management, including collective agreement provisions pertaining to employment and recruitment. You will work in a fast-paced environment as part of an experienced and collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Assess applicants and coordinate the completion of relevant employment documentation.
  • Provide guidance to managers on posting requirements and recruitment queries.
  • Evaluate procedures and recommend revisions to improve human resources administration.

Detailed Overview

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose, and Commitments of Fraser Health:

Supports Talent Acquisition Services by applying human resource procedures related to employment and recruitment; supports client portfolios and provides interface and services on recruitment activities; utilizes software applications, including online recruitment support; prepares recruitment media; posts job vacancies; reviews and assesses applications; processes employment applications; contacts applicants; conducts pre-screening and shortlisting; supports reference checks.

Responsibilities

  • Supports recruitment activities including preparing and posting employment opportunities, processing applications, pre-screening, and matching applicants to postings.
  • Assesses applicants, reviews credentials, conducts pre-screen interviews, and advises managers on recruitment requirements.
  • Supports reference verification processes.
  • Participates in HR research, analysis, and confidential projects; consolidates statistical data and provides summaries.
  • Manages recruitment files and updates records.
  • Recommends and implements procedures to improve HR administration.
  • Addresses HR management issues through direct communication with managers and employees.
  • Maintains vacancy files, ensures proper retention, and handles requests for information.
  • Coordinates meetings, job fairs, and external presentations.
  • Provides administrative support, including handling correspondence and documents.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Completion of a two-year post-secondary program in human resources or a related discipline, plus two years of recent, relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Competencies: Demonstrates Fraser Health leadership practices of being clear, caring, and courageous; creates conditions for success.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Proficiency with computers and online recruitment systems.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and collective agreements.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
  • Typing speed of 50 WPM.
  • Thorough knowledge of office procedures.
  • Effective communication with staff and the public.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties.
