Representative - Outside Sales (Security Division)

As a Representative - Outside Sales (Security Division), you will be responsible for developing new prospects and interacting with assigned customers to increase sales and margins of the company's products and/or services. Your primary focus will be face-to-face selling and account management activities to meet sales revenue goals by assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and solutions to ensure a smooth sales process. Creativity and latitude are required. You will engage with all levels of the customers’ organizations, including technical, operations, supply chain, and executive management. You may also develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.

Responsibilities
  • Execute and expand assigned customer account plans developed in conjunction with management.
  • Implement billing margin initiatives through value-added services, marketing programs, and supplier engagement.
  • Prospect potential customers via cold calling and referral channels.
  • Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their needs; suggest suitable products and services.
  • Demonstrate product or service functions based on customer needs.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve post-sale issues.
  • Keep in touch with existing and previous customers about new products, services, and enhancements.
  • Utilize sales management tools for planning and documenting opportunities.
  • Develop product knowledge through training.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, including joint sales calls.
  • Provide quotations directly or with sales support team.
Qualifications
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Prior sales experience required; outside sales experience preferred.
  • Two years of industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to clients and suppliers.
  • Flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Teamwork ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (preferred).
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time.
Working Environment

Outside Sales: Work is generally in an office, but travel to customer sites or warehouses may be required. Driving may involve extended periods and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
