As a Representative - Outside Sales, you will be responsible for developing new prospects and interacting with assigned customers to increase sales and margins of the company's products and/or services. Your primary focus will be face-to-face selling and account management activities to meet sales revenue targets. You will engage with all levels of customers’ organizations, including technical, operations, supply chain, and executive management. You may be required to develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.

Responsibilities :

  • Assess customer needs and suggest products, services, or solutions to ensure a smooth sales process.
  • Execute and expand assigned customer account plans developed in conjunction with management.
  • Implement billing margin initiatives through value-added services, marketing programs, and supplier engagement.
  • Prospect potential customers, including cold calling and developing leads via referrals.
  • Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their needs; recommend suitable products and services.
  • Demonstrate product or service functions based on customer needs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve post-sale issues.
  • Maintain communication with existing and previous customers about new products, services, and enhancements.
  • Utilize sales management tools for planning and documenting opportunities.
  • Develop product knowledge through EECOL and supplier training.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, including joint sales calls.
  • Provide quotations directly or with support from the sales team.

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Two years of industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to clients and suppliers.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and occasional overnight travel.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.

Working Environment : Outside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but travel to customer sites or warehouses may be required. Driving for extended periods with frequent stops and outdoor weather exposure may occur.
