Description
The Sales Representative is responsible for penetrating new accounts and supporting Account Managers to saturate existing accounts with the full range of the company's services (MS and IHT) by expanding current service offerings to include new service lines that are not currently utilized by those clients.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety and quality standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.

- Spends 80%+ of time in front of clients developing new opportunities.
- Manages all activity and customer opportunities in the company's CRM system.
- Sells value and understands opportunity costs to maximize profitability of the company's service offerings.
- Delivers professional and technically articulate presentations of the company's value proposition and service capabilities.
- Researches and develops new customers and opportunities.
- Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual budget targets, including revenue and profit goals.
- Collaborates across the organization to maximize revenue and profitability, including coordinating with operations and bringing in service line organizations and BDMs as needed.
- Maintains periodic contact with existing clients and is seen as a focal point for new accounts, but is not involved in project management or dispatching personnel.
- Constantly seeks new service lines, products, or capabilities to improve competitive position and reports these opportunities to management.
- Understands market trends in geography, industry, and competition within the assigned territory.
- Participates in strategic sales planning and development of growth strategies.
- Works with marketing to identify opportunities and increase market awareness.
- Passes on new customer or project opportunities outside of their territory or industry vertical to the appropriate team members.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Four to six years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software.
- Proficiency with CRM software; Salesforce experience preferred.
Work Conditions
- Position based in the District office.
- Work conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting.
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some flexibility; core hours are 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
