Description:
- Provide planning, assessment, and development effort to meet workload demand of the BI reporting enablement activity, which supports program areas within the Ministry of Attorney General.
- Work with a Project Manager and Business Areas to evaluate requirements and develop reports/dashboards/data visualizations, utilizing Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder.
- Ensure reports/dashboards/data visualizations are properly reviewed for quality assurance and compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA.
- Complete all relevant and required documentation to support the completion of the project.
Experience and Skill Set Requirements:
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand the functional and non-functional needs.
- Perform assessment and define approach in collaboration with project team and stakeholders to successfully deliver effective BI Solutions.
- Design and develop reports/dashboards/data visualizations within Power BI Desktop or Power BI Report Builder.
- Troubleshoot and apply corrective actions to resolve issues with BI Solutions discovered during pre-release testing.
- Provide relevant and required documentation to support migration activities and knowledge transfer.
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience working in a business intelligence team/environment, developing and delivering business intelligence and/or analytical reports and dashboards.
- Experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder to design and develop reports and dashboards.
- Experience writing and working with Microsoft Power BI DAX code to implement business logic within Power BI reports.
- Experience troubleshooting SQL queries, business intelligence and analytical reports, and performing data analysis for data validation and report accuracy.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Knowledge of ETL tools, such as Azure Data Factory and Microsoft SSDT.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Power BI Desktop (At least 2 years of experience).
- Demonstrated working knowledge of SQL query languages (T-SQL, PL-SQL) (At least 4 years of experience).
- Demonstrated working knowledge of DAX programming (At least 2 years of experience).

- Experience writing Transact-SQL (T-SQL) queries (at least 4 years).
