Job description

Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Report Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about transforming data into actionable insights and building intuitive dashboards that support strategic decision-making.

Location : GTA Hybrid 1-day in office

Status : Contract

Responsibilities :

  • Design develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and other BI tools
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract transform and load data from various sources
  • Implement advanced Tableau features such as Level of Detail (LOD) expressions action filters and user filters
  • Consolidate and transform raw data into meaningful insights that support business decisions
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences including senior leadership
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning reviews and retrospectives
  • Continuously monitor and improve reporting performance and data accuracy
  • Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure data models support reporting needs

Requirements

  • Must have Reliability Clearance or eligible obtain clearance
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Mathematics Computer Science Engineering or a related field
  • 2 3 years of hands-on experience with SQL or other data manipulation languages
  • 2 3 years of experience developing dashboards and decision-support tools using Tableau and other BI platforms
  • Proven ability to build end-to-end BI solutions including complex calculations and advanced dashboard techniques
  • Strong understanding of data transformation and consolidation
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to uncover business trends and opportunities
  • Experience presenting insights and analytics to senior leadership
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is an asset
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced evolving environment

  • Proficiency in Tableau dashboard and report development

  • Solid understanding of data modeling and experience collaborating with Data Engineers
  • Nice to Have :
  • Working knowledge of SQL

  • Experience with Amazon QuickSight
  • 3-4 years of experience working in data, analytics, engineering, or a related field. Experience with building or managing a data pipeline in production. Familiar with data SLOs, validation, and pipeline health best practices. Experience in migration from large monolith tables to domain-specific entities derived from microservices. Technical Proficiency : Highly proficient in SQL, Tableau, Qlik (Strong Preference). Experience with programming languages including R or Python. Strong proficiency in data tools such as Databricks, dbt, and cloud technologies such as AWS and GCP. Conceptual Understanding : Solid understanding of normalization, schema evolution, and transitive dependencies. Familiarity with data handling concepts (Loading and Transforming Data). Location : Toronto CA Hybrid, onsite 3 days / week normal week is Tuesday and Thursdays on site with one day flex.
