DOING RIGHT BY PEOPLE – IT’S WHAT WE DO

Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Product, the Report Analyst will be responsible for helping Payworks clients unlock the value of their data. They will collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders, including product, support, and professional services to meet clients’ data needs by providing visualization solutions through Payworks application-specific reports and dashboards. The Report Analyst will assess the scope of work and translate it into user stories, for quantifiable in-scope deliverables. They will work directly with the Product Management Team and directly with Payworks’ customers to understand and document the customer’s analytics/reporting needs and collaborate with the customer through user acceptance testing to ensure the solutions meet their requirements.

DISCOVER SOLUTIONS– IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Ensure accuracy – You will use your knowledge of database designs and SQL to test the data to ensure the database and reports are showing the same values. Examine data and data reports to check for missing information, outliers, confounding and extraneous variables.
  • Analyze and report – You will design business analysis and data recording systems for use throughout the department. Create and maintain automated SFTP reporting, including import files for the client’s accounting software, including Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, etc. You will develop sustainable queries that can be easily modified to serve continuously evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with the team – You will communicate and collaborate with the Product Manager to share data results. Work closely with other business areas and leaders to identify reporting needs.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Economics, Statistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge in SQL and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in SAP, object-oriented programming and other data analysis programs.
  • Experience working in a relevant industry such as finance, banking, insurance or business.
  • A creative problem-solver, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, draw insights, and see related opportunities.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, influencing and engagement skills with the ability to demonstrate these skills at all levels of the business.
