Waterdown Collision is seeking a Repair Planner to support our collision shop and ensure top-tier customer service. The role balances profitability with client satisfaction and coordination across insurance partners, production staff, and service teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in estimating or senior collision roles, with experience using Mitchell Cloud Estimating and related tools. Join a team committed to quality, training, and strong work standards.

Formación

• At least 5 years direct experience in a similar role or senior estimating.
• Understanding of day-to-day collision repair duties including estimating, production scheduling and meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with insurance repair procedures and guidelines.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under your own initiative in a busy environment.

Responsabilidades

• Handle appraisals, repair orders and supplements from start to finish.
• Produce complete collision damage appraisals per insurer guidelines using the proper electronic estimating software.
• Upload initial, supplement, and final bills to the insurance company.
• Maintain ongoing communication with insurance partners, production staff and customer service specialists.
• Negotiate with insurance representatives to meet the company's gross profit goals.
• Maintain a specific gross profit percentage on all ROs on all jobs (as communicated by the general manager).
• Participate in daily release meetings to provide key information to managerial staff.
• Attend weekly company meetings and training programs to enhance performance.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment reflecting excellent working conditions.
• Work to resolve client concerns or dissatisfaction.
• Cultivate a positive working relationship with team members and management.
• Communicate and document repair status to clients and insurance partners.
• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company policies and standards.

About The Role

Our growing team is seeking an enthusiastic Repair Planner to join us at Waterdown Collision. The Repair Planner will work to ensure that our valued clients receive our legendary "Best in class" customer service experience. The Repair Planner is responsible for maintaining a proper balance between the profitability of the company, supporting the collision shop and the achievement of total customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Handle appraisals, repair orders and supplements from start to finish
• Produce complete, thorough, and accurate collision damage appraisals according to the appropriate insurance company (or other referral source) guidelines using the proper electronic estimating software, which meet or exceed company gross profit goals
• Upload initial, supplement, and final bills as necessary to the insurance company
• Ensure ongoing communication with insurance partners, production staff and customer service specialists.
• Negotiate with insurance company representatives in a polite and courteous manner at all times when discussing subjective repair times necessary to meet the company's gross profit goals
• Maintain a specific gross profit percentage on all ROs on all jobs (as communicated by the general manager)
• Participate in daily release meetings in order to provide key information to managerial staff
• Participate in weekly company meetings and be willing to attend training programs to enhance performance both, personally and professionally
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in which to work that reflects the excellent working conditions of the company
• Work to resolve any client concerns or dissatisfaction.
• Cultivate a positive working relationship with team members and management.
• Communicate and document repair status to clients and insurance partners.
• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of direct experience in a similar role or senior estimating experience.
• A complete understanding of the day to day collision repair duties including estimating, production scheduling and meeting deadlines
• Familiarity with insurance repair procedures and guidelines
• Solid understanding of Mitchell Cloud Estimating and Qapter software
• Possess a valid drivers' license.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under your own initiative in a busy environment.
• Highly organized, analytical, and motivated; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
• Strongly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
