Assured Automotive in Canada seeks a Collision Repair Planner to coordinate vehicle repairs, work with technicians, insurers and clients to set repair strategies and schedules, and maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced shop.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail and experience with estimating systems, with a path toward career growth and ongoing training.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required with collision estimating experience preferred.
• I-Car Gold Class certification or working towards Gold Class is expected.
• Familiarity with Audatex and Mitchell estimating systems is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Audit initial estimates and ensure compliance with standard procedures.
• Diagnose collision damage and coordinate repairs with teams and clients.
• Assign technicians to jobs and arrange sublet repairs as needed.
• Order parts and manage appraisals within 24 hours of delivery.
• Maintain production flow and communicate repair steps to clients.
• Aim for at least 40% gross profit on appraisals and 50% repair vs replace.
• Follow insurance procedures and use required programs and tools.
• Document files and balance MIS records for closing.
• Ensure quality inspections before vehicle delivery.

Job Summary

The Collision Repair Planner serves as a central figure in the restoration process, coordinating safe and efficient vehicle repairs to pre-accident status. This role involves active collaboration with technical teams, clients, and insurance partners to establish precise repair strategies and completion schedules. Success in this position requires maintaining rigorous quality standards while ensuring a professional and positive customer experience within a high-volume operational environment. Key requirements include the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Audits initial estimate and ensure compliance to Boyd Estimate Practice & Procedures. Conducts final repair plan meeting.
• Accurate diagnosis of the collision damage including structural and mechanical damage. Accurate diagnosis of refinishing operations. Communicates all customer requests and needs to appropriate team members.
• Assigns body technician(s) to specific jobs as required.
• Orders parts & arranges sublet repairs with vendors when required for each RO. Completes appraisals and supplements as required within 24 hours of delivery.
• Ensures proper work flow throughout the collision center with the production supervisor. Communicates clearly the repair process, and addresses all questions to ensure client’s confidence.
• Maintains at least a 40% GP on all appraisals. Maintains a 50% Repair vs. Replace on all appraisals.
• Adheres to all required Insurance procedures, guidelines and programs. Utilizes daily insurance programs & tools (Progi/ APU/ ARMS/ ALLDATA /Progi Sync).
• Works with the production supervisor on any repair related concerns or supplements.
• Communicates updates with customers and insurance claims adjusters as required. Communicates and negotiates with insurance claims appraisers and image desk staff
• Ensures proper file documentation in Management Information Systems (MIS). Daily balancing and blueprinting of the appraisals in MIS for file closing. Manages all final quality inspections on each vehicle prior to delivery.

Minimum Education And/or Experience Required For The Job

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years previous experience of a collision repair estimating or a similar role
• Comprehensive knowledge of estimating software Audatex, Mitchell
• I-Car Registered (Gold Class) or I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to interpret work scope from vehicle estimates or work orders
• Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle repair practices
• Customer Service Oriented and strong organizational skills

Compensation Details:

$55,000 - $80,000 per year
