Job summary

FTAI Aviation LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Repair Planner to support and optimize planning activities within our repair operations in Montreal. This role ensures efficient workflow, timely turnaround of repairs, and coordination between technicians, inventory, and operations.

The position requires 3–5 years in production planning/scheduling, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills. Evening shift: Mon–Thu, 12:00 PM–10:00 PM, on-site in Montreal.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in production planning/scheduling (manufacturing required).
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to balance priorities and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage daily and short-term production schedules based on demand, capacity, and priorities.
  • Lead daily production meetings and follow up on schedule adherence and constraints.
  • Analyze capacity, cycle times, bottlenecks, and material availability to maintain achievable production plans.
  • Adjust schedules in real time to address urgencies, delays, and operational constraints.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams.
  • Define required manpower and equipment allocation to meet production targets.
  • Ensure accuracy and maintenance of ERP data (work orders, routings, planning parameters).
  • Create and maintain production reports and KPIs (schedule adherence, throughput, capacity utilization, etc.).
  • Contribute to capacity planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Repair Planner to support and optimize planning activities within our repair operations. This role is critical to ensuring efficient workflow, timely turnaround of repairs, and effective coordination between technicians, inventory, and operations.

The Repair Planner is responsible for prioritizing and organizing repair jobs, ensuring parts availability, and aligning repair activities with operational needs. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, maximizing resource utilization, and maintaining high service levels in a fast-paced repair environment.

To support operational needs, we are seeking candidates available for the following shift:

  • Evening Shift : Monday to Thursday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM (4-day work week)
Responsibilities:

As a Production Scheduler, you will be the link between planning and execution, ensuring production plans are realistic, optimized, and delivered.

  • Build and manage daily and short-term production schedules based on demand, capacity, and priorities

  • Strong understanding of:
    • Capacity planning
    • Shop floor constraints
    • Production flow and bottlenecks
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (data analysis, formulas, reporting)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance priorities and make quick decisions
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to challenge and influence production teams when needed
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach
