Job summary

Herc Rentals in Mississauga, ON is seeking a proactive Rental Operations Coordinator to welcome customers and coordinate deliveries and fleet management. You will learn to take initiative, manage a profit and loss statement, grow a diverse customer portfolio, and become a safety and equipment rental expert.

The role involves supporting branch coordinators and territory sales, optimizing routes, and driving revenue growth while providing excellent service and accurate daily reports.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Experience using Rental Man and On the Go is an asset.
• Proficient in DOT Regulations and load securement guidelines.
• Familiar with Fleet, Procurement, daily dashboards, and branch manager checklists.
• Local expert on Optimus and pricing practices.
• Assist others with Salesforce.com.
• Continue to open accounts and prescreen customers using eApply.
• 2-4 years of relatable experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple vehicle types and equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Schedule delivery and pickup of equipment and partner with drivers and vendors.
• Optimize routing of drivers with DOT Regulations knowledge.
• Aid and support other branch coordinators.
• Be a trusted partner to territory sales representatives.

• Maximize revenue through superior customer service on all existing orders.
• Finalize sales for inbound and outbound calls.
• Provide expert advice on equipment selection, operation and maintenance.
• Generate, process, analyze and review daily business reports.

Job Purpose

The Senior Sales and Operations Coordinator is the first person you see when you walk into a Herc Rentalsbranch or dial a Herc Rentals phone number. The ideal person for this role is energetic, eager to help, and hungry to learn and grow their career.
