Job summary

ATS Calgary is seeking a hard-working, versatile Seasonal Rental Driver/Shop Help to deliver and pick up equipment across Calgary and surrounding areas while supporting the shop and on-street services. You will ensure equipment is clean and high quality for rental customers, interacting daily with clients and colleagues.

Requirements include a valid non-GDL Class 5 license, a clean driving abstract, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Qualifications

• Valid non-GDL Class 5 driver’s license and a clean 3-year driving abstract.
• Own vehicle to get to work as ATS is not on public transit routes.
• Must undergo and pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test and fit test.
• Note: Safety-sensitive role with zero tolerance for marijuana, medical or recreational use.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Organize deliveries and pickups in a timely, on-time manner.
• Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
• Prepare work orders with required equipment.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading of equipment.
• Wash, maintain and repair equipment (Signs & Barricades).
• Assemble equipment (Struts & Signs) and install flashers on barricades.
• Organize and assemble orders for Rental customers.
• Assist in maintaining and organizing the shop and yard.
• Other duties as required.

Position: Seasonal Rental Driver/On-Street Services Shop Help

About the Position

ATS Calgary is looking for a hard working versatile individual to join our On-Street Services team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to deliver and pick up equipment from various locations throughout the city and surrounding area. You will also be responsible for working in the shop and helping out our on street services as needed.

At ATS we have a customer service campaign called Service Starts Here. The On-Street Services Rental Driver/Shop Help position is vital as in this role you interact daily with our external and internal customers. The Rental Labourer also is responsible for ensuring that the equipment that is rented is of high quality and clean.

Please note that this is a seasonal position is expected to end on or before February 28, 2026.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Organize deliveries and pickups in an efficient manner and “on-time”
• Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
• Prepare work orders with required equipment
• Assisting customers with loading and unloading of equipment
• Washing, maintenance and repairing of equipment (i.e.) Signs & Barricades
• Assembly of equipment (i.e.) Struts & Signs as well as putting flashers on Barricades
• Organizing and putting together orders for Rental customers
• Assist in maintaining and organizing the shop
• Assist in keeping the yard clean & organized
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• A valid Non-GDL (non-graduated) Class 5 Driver’s License and a Clean, 3-Year, non-GDL, Regular Drivers Abstract is required to drive our company vehicles.
• Own vehicle to get to and from work is required as ATS is not located on public transit routes.
• As this is a safety-sensitive role, all successful candidates must undergo and pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test
• and fit test (lifting approximately 50 lbs) is required. Note: All safety-sensitive positions have a zero tolerance policy marijuana, medical or recreational.
• Ability to successfully pass a Fit Test including lifting between 50 and 75 pounds.
• Experience in the traffic industry is an asset
• Construction experience is an asset
• Warehouse/Shop experience is an asset
• Forklift operation experience is an asset
• Mechanically inclined
• Experience using hand and power tools
