Do you have experience in building maintenance and renovations? We are seeking a talented candidate to handle maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring our Resident Members' peace of mind. If you are passionate about fixing things, mechanically skilled, and hands-on, this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Address maintenance requests within 72 hours
  2. Perform on-call emergency maintenance as scheduled
  3. Maintain, renovate, and touch-up vacant suites according to quality standards
  4. Perform general maintenance in common areas and the building
  5. Coordinate inspections of turnover suites with the Customer Care Team
  6. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and report findings
  7. Ensure contractors complete work per standards
  8. Participate in training and continuous learning
  9. Assist with snow removal as needed
  10. Complete administrative tasks using a tablet
  11. Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of renovation experience

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Familiarity with technology
  • Skills in painting, sanding, priming, textured surfaces
  • Plumbing repair and installation
  • Electrical work including replacing fixtures and switches
  • Drywall repair
  • Floor repair and installation of laminate, carpet, tiles, and baseboards

Nice to Have:

  • Additional skills in framing, tiling, drywall, flooring, plumbing
  • Basic knowledge of hydronic heating systems and furnaces
  • Repair and installation of doors, windows, and cabinets
  • Lock repair, rekeying, and mastering
  • Appliance repair and installation

Non-Technical Requirements:

  • Own most tools listed during the interview
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Capable of walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting for up to eight hours
  • Ability to maneuver up to 90 kg with proper equipment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Reliable vehicle and clean driving record
  • Valid driver’s license
