Job Summary
As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for a Renewable Natural Gas Trader / Origination Manager to join our Montreal or Calgary team. In this role, you will shape the future of renewable energy by identifying and developing new business ventures that drive the demand and supply of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). Responsibilities
- Develop new business and growth opportunities for RNG supply and demand, including RNG production and transportation fuel dispensing (CNG / LNG).
- Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives for RNG supply.
- Lead deals, manage external relationships, and negotiate contracts.
- Understand customer needs, pricing, and competition to fulfill customer requirements.
- Conduct market research and analyze results to optimize sales and marketing strategies.
- Leverage expertise in environmental markets to identify and develop client relationships.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through ongoing business development activities.
- Conduct market and client discovery and develop value propositions.
- Manage strategic accounts and maintain effective client relationships.
- Anticipate client needs and provide strategic solutions.
- Evaluate and present opportunities for product and service development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in RNG, natural gas origination, or renewable diesel sales.
- Proven experience in gas scheduling, pipeline logistics, or energy operations.
- Experience in trading RNG, NG, or renewable energy products, with a track record of building client relationships and negotiating deals.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, highly organized, with strong communication abilities.
- Results-driven, collaborative, detail-oriented, with a focus on speed and action.
- Knowledge of relevant environmental policies (EPA RFS, LCFS, carbon markets) and North American energy markets is preferred.
- Strong analytical and risk management skills in energy markets.
- Proficiency in English is required due to interactions with stakeholders across Canada, US, and globally.
