The Role

SWTCH is seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Renewable Energy Deployment Coordinator to join our team. This critical role will bridge the gap between our technical products and their successful, reliable installation in the field. The ideal candidate will combine practical electrical knowledge with a strong understanding of networking and IoT principles to ensure all EV charging and energy management solutions are deployed efficiently and meet all necessary code and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Manage the end-to-end deployment lifecycle for EV charging stations and energy management hardware, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.
  • Installation Support: Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams and contractors regarding hardware installation, electrical hookup, and system configuration.
  • System Networking: Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity for newly deployed smart charging stations and IoT devices, ensuring reliable communication with the SWTCH platform.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for all deployed sites, including as-built drawings, configuration logs, and project timelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct virtual or on-site inspections and testing to verify installations meet SWTCH's quality standards and technical specifications before handover to operations.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise (Required): Demonstrated knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, CEC) and safety standards, or direct experience as a licensed or apprentice electrician.
  • IoT and Networking Knowledge (Required): Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, cellular, Ethernet) and experience with configuring and troubleshooting IoT devices in a remote deployment environment.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in project coordination, field service, technical support, or deployment within the cleantech, electrical, or telecommunications industries.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Education: Technical diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical Engineering Technology, Information Technology) or equivalent experience.
