Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Renal Services/Hemodialysis team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. The role requires post-graduate nephrology education and sponsorship for specialty education through an in-house BC Renal program.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, coordination with the inter-professional team, and patient/family teaching.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Two (2) years' recent, related clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments on admission and at intervals.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians and care team to develop and modify care plans.
• Plans, coordinates and evaluates nursing interventions and care.
• Teaches patients and families about illness prevention, health restoration and maintenance.
