Job summary

Weir Canada, Inc. is seeking a Windchill PLM Configuration Specialist to configure, administer, and optimize the Windchill PLM platform, including PDMLink, ProjectLink, and MPMLink. You will ensure data governance, lifecycle controls, and efficient workflows.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on Windchill experience, strong collaboration, and the ability to manage change control. Canadian citizenship with eligibility for government security clearance to Secret is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on Windchill PLM administration.
• Experience configuring workflows, lifecycle states, access controls.
• Knowledge of PDMLink, ProjectLink and MPMLink is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Security clearance eligibility or government clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, maintain, and optimize Windchill environments (PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink).
• Manage Windchill configuration, lifecycle states, object types, attributes, access controls, and admin functions.
• Configure and maintain product data structures and lifecycle management processes within Windchill.
• Design, develop, and maintain workflows, business rules, routing, and approvals.
• Support and administer engineering change management processes (ECRs/ECNs).
• Configure security settings, user roles, group permissions, and access policies.
• Support data governance via classification structures, metadata standards, and data quality controls.
• Investigate and resolve application issues and system configuration problems.
• Support system upgrades, patching, migrations, and environment maintenance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and administration procedures.
• Provide user support, onboarding assistance, and Windchill training.
• Recommend system enhancements to improve usability and performance.
