Job Skills / Requirements

Our Remote Video Monitoring (RVM) Lead is a hands-on role responsible for leading the remote monitoring function within our Security Operations Centre (SOC). As the first dedicated operator in this program, you will be instrumental in shaping monitoring workflows, responding to real-time security events, and helping define future staffing, systems, and best practices. This is a critical position that blends operations, technology, and service delivery. This role will primarily work after-hours (overnight and on the weekends).

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Monitors analytics-based alerts, live video feeds, and camera health across multiple client sites
  • Identifies and assesses security related incidents in real time and follows intervention and escalation protocols
  • Logs activities, generates reports, and documents all security-related events
  • Communicates with emergency responders or clients during critical events
  • Assists in configuring the monitoring platform (Immix), analytics tools, and escalation procedures
  • Helps shape the structure and workflows of the RVM program, including SOP development
  • Provides feedback on camera placement, detection settings, and system effectiveness
  • Participates in client onboarding activities (e.g., configuring alarm instructions, reviewing escalation procedures, reporting protocols, etc.)
  • Works closely with field operations, IT, and account executives to ensure technology and operational requirements are met
  • Assists senior leadership in defining performance expectations, schedules, and quality standards
  • Participates in hiring, onboarding, and training future operators as the team grows
  • Performs other duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience as a security officer and/or in a monitoring dispatch environment
  • Comfortable working independently in a build-out environment
  • Strong technical aptitude with video management systems and analytics
  • Excellent situational awareness, judgement, and decision-making under pressure
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with developing SOPs and training programs is an asset
  • Experience with Immix GF is a plus
