Job summary

DSEL is seeking a proactive Utility Project Coordinator to join our Ontario utility team. You will coordinate utility-related activities across the project life cycle, maintain client communications, and resolve conflicts to keep projects on track.

The role requires at least 4 years in project/coordination, strong communication and organizational skills, and a driver. You will work with designers, municipalities, utility companies, and contractors, travel to sites, and help prepare for

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in relevant management and/or coordination work.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to contact project stakeholders daily.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Electrical/utility design and coordination experience is a plus.
• Engineering Technologist Diploma is considered an asset.
• Must have a vehicle for transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules with critical design, submission, and construction activity dates.
• Coordinate with DSEL Utility Team designers and municipal designers; update project schedules as required.
• Assist in developing a Composite Utility Plan (CUP) and lead conflict resolution.
• Assist the Project Administration Team in acquiring utility-related approvals for the municipality.
• Administer utility construction contracts: tender documents, bids, contract execution, site visits, and payments.
• Liaise with clients, utility companies, municipalities, contractors, and developers.
• Support as-built/record documents development and site inspections; obtain contractor sign-off.
• Travel to project sites as required; must have transportation.
