Drexan Energy Systems Inc. is a leading provider of innovative trace heating solutions that ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability in industrial environments. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Technical Sales professional to join our team in Canada, with a focus on expanding our market presence in Eastern Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to establish new relationships with potential customers.
  • Manage and maintain existing customer accounts and channels to market.
  • Use effective communication skills to present and sell trace heating solutions.
  • Identify and resolve problems by finding suitable solutions for the client's needs.
  • Collaborate with certification bodies such as CSA and UL to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
  • Be self-motivated and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Independently identify and generate new sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate information exchange between Sales, Accounting, Production, and Shipping departments.
  • Compile and assemble bid packages.
  • Assist with drawings as necessary.
  • Manage individual sales funnel data regarding all prospective customers.
  • Review weekly/monthly sales activities with the VP of Sales.

REQUIREMENETS

  • Previous experience in sales within the industrial market.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong drive to create new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and market channels effectively.
  • Familiarity with certification bodies such as CSA and UL.
  • An electrical background is preferred, although candidates with other relevant technical expertise will be considered.
  • Graduated from a technical institute with specialization in electrical design.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints.
  • Skilled in using the Microsoft Office365 suite of products.
  • Demonstrates a continuous learning attitude and adaptability to change.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks based on deadlines and urgency.
  • Possesses a technical mindset, with the capacity to communicate information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Maintains impeccable work and personal ethics, coupled with strong interpersonal, customer service, business acumen, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

GEOGRAPHY

This position is focused on growing and expanding our market in Eastern Canada. Candidates should be prepared to travel and develop relationships across this region.

COMPENSATION

This full time remote position offers a targeted salary range of CDN$75K to $85K (depending on experience) plus company bonus. Extended health benefits will be provided after three months of employment.
