Job description

About The Role

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will partner closely with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Leadership to shape how the company measures success, identifies growth opportunities, and makes data-informed decisions. You will develop scalable data models, establish analytical frameworks, and translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence product strategy and business outcomes. You will own analyses that evaluate product performance and customer behaviour, using cohort/retention analysis and funnel analytics to uncover what drives sustainable growth. You thrive as a generalist, moving seamlessly between evaluating the potential of new categories and diagnosing changes across established ones.

You Will:

  • Serve as a technical expert and end-to-end owner of product data sources, analytics infrastructure, data models, and measurement frameworks

  • Define and monitor KPIs that determine the health of a category (adoption, retention, conversion, unit economics, cross-sell, etc.)

  • Partner with Product to evaluate feature adoption, identify opportunities, and influence roadmap prioritization through data

  • Design measurement frameworks to evaluate product launches, experiments, and strategic initiatives

  • Identify drivers of customer retention through cohort analysis and recommend opportunities to improve long-term engagement

  • Improve analytical processes and automate recurring workflows that enable faster, more reliable product decision-making

  • Lead the development and maintenance of dbt data models and orchestrations, ensuring accuracy, modularity, and performance optimization

  • Build trusted, self-serve reporting and semantic data models that enable teams to answer questions independently

  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses with clear recommendations and present those findings to senior stakeholders in a way that drives decisions

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in data roles

  • Expert SQL skills with experience writing performant, maintainable, and well-tested queries

  • Experience building and maintaining analytics workflows with dbt

  • Strong version control skills with Git

  • Proven experience with retention/cohort analysis and funnel/conversion analysis

  • Familiarity with statistical experimentation and A/B testing principles

  • Experience working on new product, market, or category launches is a strong plus

  • Strong project management and communication skills, with a results-oriented mindset

Benefits

  • Full medical, dental and vision benefits

  • Maternity/paternity policy

  • 4 weeks vacation (3 weeks anytime + 1 week during the holidays)

  • Competitive compensation

  • Stock option grant

  • Remote first, work from anywhere in Canada

  • Professional development opportunities, working closely with founders and the senior leadership team
