Varsity Tutors is seeking a Spelling Bee Tutor to join our online platform. You will provide 1-on-1 tutoring to students nationwide, leveraging the Live Learning Platform from the comfort of your home.

Earn up to $40 per hour, with payments issued up to twice weekly. Set your own hours and connect with students matched to your teaching strengths, using our AI-powered Copilot to enhance sessions and save prep time.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of English word origins (Latin, Greek, French, Germanic roots) and spelling patterns.
• Ability to explain origin patterns, silent letters, and spelling conventions for spelling bees.
• Experience teaching word study strategies and mnemonic techniques for competitive spelling.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to students.
• Tutor remotely using Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform.
• Invoicing and handling own scheduling and payments.
