Job summary

Source Code seeks a Sr. Storage Analyst to design and implement cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) with strong Azure expertise. The role focuses on secure, compliant data infrastructure, cost management, and modern data platform features.

You will work with architects, engineers, and analysts in an agile environment. The contract is six months, requiring onsite meetings as needed and remote work flexibility from Edmonton.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Able to work evenings and/or weekends and/or during blocktime/change windows outside of normal business hours.
• Automate routine tasks using Azure Automation, Terraform, PowerShell, GitHub/GitHub Actions, Ansible, and other scripting tools.
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers and analysts to design and optimize cloud architecture and services.
• Experience functioning in a team/group environment.
• Experience functioning on an individual basis.
• Monitor Azure infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource usage.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, storage, data services and more.
• Maintain and manage Azure cost management and budgeting.
• Implement and manage Azure security controls including IF networks and identity management.
• Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead system implementation and design for Cloud Data Platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Design and build scalable data infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across Azure/Snowflake/Cloudera.
• Provide data platform management and administration to align with GoA goals.
• Configure cloud tools to manage cost, security, and compliance.
• Support data privacy and security per enterprise policies.
• Collaborate to improve cloud and on-premise infrastructure for reliability and DR.
• Contribute to Enterprise Data Strategy and modern platform features.
• Participate in sprint planning, version control, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Document configurations, processes, and solutions for knowledge transfer.
